Fucking Sheep.
What is war good for? Well, thinking about it logically, war is good when the benefits of winning the war outweigh the suffering caused by the war. This of course is not really the driving motivation behind those who declare wars. I am neither one who shouts NO WAR or SUPPORT OUR TROOPS. Both of these groups may or not be “right” depending on the situation but neither of these groups is probably shouting their message for the right reasons. People could be extremely patriotic or invest a lot of faith in the sanctity of human life. Both of these groups of people are more than likely mindless sheep, as are most groups in all of America.
First a quick message to the NO WAR people. For those of you who think that humans can settle disputes without war, those of you who are genuinely “cant we all get along” people, the sad truth you eventually learn is no. When dealing with disputes between people rare is it done without physical conflict. People will believe what ever they want to believe against all logic and reasoning and human faith, when strong, is almost totally unshakable. This is not just about god. It is faith in their country, faith in their own propaganda. Faith in humanity, faith in goodness, faith in the right thing. Humans all across the world will have various faiths that despite all other logic and reasoning they will not change. Because of this the only way to change the way the world works to suit one groups of beliefs is to kill those who have beliefs that conflict with their own. People are not logical creatures, at least obviously logical, and they will not do the right thing. They will do what ever they’re taught and will defend their beliefs to the end of their minds and lives. This is why war is necessary, we do not have the nature, or social technology to have everyone in the world coexist peacefully.
Okay that wasn’t a quick message.
Now for the support our troops people.
This is just propaganda bullshit. Any member of a country could spam “support our troops” into the face of its country. Just because a president says that what they’re doing is a good idea doesn’t mean that it’s perfect. More than likely it’s just as flawed as the next guy’s idea. People can be blinded with patriotism. Just because the president includes the words freedom and justice after every other word in their sentence doesn’t mean it actually has anything to do with either idea. Listening to bush talk about the war in Iraq you hear lots of things like defending freedom.
This is what we did in Iraq – A guy with a gun was waving it around and making it really obvious and then we beat him with a stick until he said uncle and then we played a game of Give-it-here, I-dun-wanna, for like 10 years and then we went in to beat him with a stick until he died.
The only reason that it could be said we were defending freedom was that we needed to kill the guy with a gun before he decided to shoot us with it.
A great majority of people are just sheep, who don’t want to take the time to think or form their own opinions they usually fall into either of the two war categories. You should form your own fucking opinion. Why? I’m not god, I don’t have all the solutions. Neither is your mother, nor your father. Your president isn’t the smartest man in the country. While unlikely there is a chance that there is an idea that hasn’t been thought. And even more importantly peoples opinions matter. If you just follow someone else you aren’t trying to change the country to how you want it to be run, you are just changing the country to how someone else wants it to be run. Of course there are people who almost exactly promote the beliefs of the voting person. But you should not just listen to what a speaker has to say, decide whether or not it sounds good and then follow it. Don’t just follow the radical either, it’s still following.
Some people think that questioning the country is unpatriotic. It is ironic how questioning the country is what the fucking country is founded on. America exists as it does because a bunch of people over time said “I don’t like how the country works, let’s change it”. People who live here either don’t know that or have forgotten it. Another phrase I hear often enough to make mention is “America, love it or leave it.”
Bull-Fucking-Shit.
The people from other countries LEFT their countries to come here because WE don’t kick out people for having strange beliefs, questioning their president, saying weird things, ect. We promote FREEDOM OF THOUGHT. Telling people to leave because you don’t love the country is the going against the very fucking values that brought people to live here in the first place.
My opinion on the recent war, (America-Iraq) Is I support it. I DON’T support it because I think saddam is crazy. I DON’T support it because I’m interested in defending freedom and justice and American way blahblahblah. I support it for two reasons and for none other. Any time that people find an opportunity to kill other people is good in my eyes. Why? Check my thing on The Value of Human life.
Secondly, and most importantly, looking back on history, look at the gulf war, and the fact that we won that war and they wouldn’t do what we asked, we needed to finish the job we started in 1991.
These are my opinions, nothing more, nothing less.
Okay, i'm less pist now.
